Hello everyone,

I have completely renewed the electrical system in the house and now want to work on the satellite system.
My plan is as follows:

Four cables per LNB to the basement
From the basement to the rooms

The satellites to be received are TurkSat, AstraSat, and Thaicom.

From what I have read, TurkSat and AstraSat can apparently be received with one dish and two LNBs.
Is that correct?

What would you recommend for a switch if I have two satellites with three LNBs and want to distribute them inside the house?

Wouldn't it be simpler and more cost-effective to do this via IPTV (Türk costs €6.90 per month)?
That way, you can also avoid the unsightly satellite dishes...
Regarding the question about using one dish with two LNBFs, I’m unable to help you.

Yes, you can receive Astra (1a?) and Türksat with one dish and two LNBs, but not with a standard dish. You need a multifocus antenna, which has a wider reception range since the two satellites are about 20° apart. Additionally, you will need a 9-way (or 13-way) multiswitch, preferably from Jultec.

Thai is about 40° away and therefore requires its own (large!) dish.

Oh, and please make sure to follow proper grounding and lightning protection, or else @Dipol will be climbing onto your roof.

With a T90, all three satellite positions would probably be possible.

I have not personally seen this yet. We are talking about a spread of more than 60 degrees after all! The T90 is specified at 50° (122°F).

The calculator indicates that it ends at 37° when aiming for Thaicom. However, Astra 1a or 1kr is located at 19.2°.
