Hello everyone,

I am looking for an MEP planner in the northern Germany area around Bremen who also has experience with passive houses. The task itself is actually quite simple: find companies, call them, and that's it. But I've been sitting here for almost three hours, struggling to find a suitable company at all. The few I found mostly focus on large-scale projects. Does anyone have any tips on where or how I can search more effectively?

Thank you very much

What does your architect say? Someone has to design the house, after all.
Online, you can find calculations for heating load, room-by-room underfloor heating design, and so on. There are providers who calculate everything up to the hydraulic balancing.
I'm currently on vacation and can't access the computer right now to give you some names.
I believe TGA minus Manager dot de offers something like that.

The architect is involved only up to design phase 4, then only in a consulting role, not executing, due to lack of experience in timber construction.

If you put in a little effort, you can even do something like a heating load calculation yourself. Alternatively, you can find a qualified energy consultant who offers this service.

I feel confident handling the heating load calculation, but when it comes to
- pipe network load and design
- room heating design
- heating surface design and hydraulics
- controlled residential ventilation
it definitely requires a professional to make realistic assessments.

I would advise against relying on the building services engineer. What engineering firms produce during the construction boom is shocking. They hire people who can barely hold a pen but have no practical planning experience. Especially when they are then assigned to design your house, which is small and manageable compared to large projects. I experience this myself every day (I completed my training at an engineering firm). Find a good tradesperson with strong reviews. They are also capable of planning.

Unfortunately, those are just as hard to find. I notice this every day here in Bremen.
