Hi Forum,
we are currently busy planning our terrace and are still a bit undecided.
It will have an area of 20m² (215 sq ft) and definitely needs to be covered.
We are now considering what would be best... a frame made of aluminum, powder-coated steel, or wood?
Glass roof or plastic?
The floor will probably be a WPC decking.
Why did you choose your material?
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
How did you ultimately design your terrace?
Maybe you have some pictures to get inspired.
Best regards, David

First, inexpensive drainage gravel was laid, followed by a weed barrier fabric, and finally a layer of white decorative gravel.
A small fountain and three spherical lamps have been wired.
There are also 4 LED ground lights installed, but they are much too bright; I will cover them with a frosted film.
Otherwise, we are almost finished.
The downspout is still missing, and at two corners, the edge curb level is not yet complete due to the house boundary.

Does it happen by itself, or do they have a lot of plants growing in the gravel? It will turn green on its own if the moisture cannot dry out. This happens more often in shady areas.
Wait and see—you can always make changes later... for now, just gain some experience, maybe it will stay white.
Best regards in brief

If that’s the case for anyone, I will spray it.
