Hello, a few years ago I poured a concrete terrace during the house construction, about 6 x 5 m (20 x 16 ft), I would have to measure exactly again. However, no surface covering was ever applied, and now the concrete where the garden chairs stand is slowly deteriorating, meaning it’s gradually crumbling. Now I want to finish it and am considering what to put on top. I don’t really want to use tiles or similar because of frost issues in the joints. I have a friend who could put granite or marble slabs on it, but not over the entire surface, which in my opinion brings back the frost problem with the joints. Then I thought about using typical wooden decking boards or this new kind of granulate surface that you roll out, which comes in different colors.

What do you think? Are there any pictures of nice terraces? What do you think about these suggestions?

Best regards,
