Hello

I am considering having a prefabricated house built. I know this topic has probably been discussed many times here, but I am interested in hearing about your experiences with some manufacturers. Whether negative or positive, all feedback is welcome.
Feel free to contact me via private message.
But please only if you have built with one of the following companies.

Fingerhaus
Schwabenhaus
Hanse Haus
Fertighaus Weiss
Fertighaus Haas
Rensch-Haus
Talbau Haus

I would be very grateful for your help.

Three quotes from prefabricated house companies were between 80,000 and 120,000 euros above the price at which I ultimately successfully completed a solid build with the local architect. And that didn’t even include the additional structural reinforcement.
So, the consultants just wasted a lot of our time. Instead of saying right away when we mentioned our budget, "We can’t do that," we were sometimes "consulted" three times before receiving an offer far over budget.

Unfortunately, I can completely relate.. :-(

An acquaintance built a house with Rensch-Haus and was very satisfied with the price/performance ratio. I can’t provide any further details. I only know that he chose a turnkey build and would recommend the company…

Oh, he built in the Frankfurt am Main area.

I keep seeing comparisons between "prefabricated houses" and "local solid construction." Why do you equate prefabricated houses with "non-local"? We have requested quotes from several local prefabricated house companies, and everything was fine and as agreed. There were no surprises afterwards either.

Well, prefabricated house builders are often larger companies (at least here). No matter how local they seem, it was (much) more expensive. Of course, being local doesn’t necessarily mean “solid construction.” Still, I believe I’m more likely to have an architect based “on site” than a prefabricated house builder.

Nowadays, it doesn’t really matter how you build; both options have their pros and cons. What’s important is that everyone is satisfied with what they end up with and feels comfortable.

What I’m curious about now is whether anyone in this forum has experience with prefab houses from Fertighaus Weiss at Fertighauswelt Nürnberg and with Rensch-Haus at Fertighauswelt Günzburg?
I don’t want to start a new thread right away, so...

Exactly. When dealing with prefab house companies, I would always read customers’ construction blogs; they are always very insightful.

@Buale Are you from Pfaffenhofen an der Roth, or is that a different Pfaffenhofen?
