Hello

The following question

We want to install a stove in our house and are considering whether to have a pressure monitor installed and thus buy a small DIBT-certified stove, or to skip the pressure monitor (2000€) and instead buy a DIBT-certified stove.

According to the chimney sweep, both options are possible. What do you recommend?

The Zehnder system is really a great product. It runs flawlessly for us, and changing the filters is foolproof. However, the filters are not exactly cheap since they have a rigid frame (not just filter material from a roll). On the other hand, it’s impossible to install them incorrectly. The control is done through a small panel. For example, Helix can be controlled better via an app, but that’s just another component that can break, and this can also be retrofitted to the system. We don’t make a big deal out of it, and currently the unit runs 24/7 on level 2 (~40 watts). When I feel like it, I will make a few simple adjustments, for example level 1 during the working day and at night, and level 3 in the morning after showers, etc.

A document like that should actually exist. If you get it for this system, please be sure to let us know.

That’s exactly what I do.

24/7 on level 2. 38.5 watts.

This works perfectly for us, the climate is great. The system is excellent.

Filters can be bought cheaply. I use the original ones.

I’m also extremely satisfied with the system. It was very well planned and designed, and works flawlessly.

There is a (horribly expensive) remote control. I decided not to get it. Access on the device or via smartphone app is enough for me. As I said, I hardly ever adjust anything and mainly only check the temperatures from time to time on behalf of a friend who has problems with his system.

Best regards
Thorsten

Where can I find these filters "cheap"? (via PM). How much did you spend extra for the smartphone app control? Did you install it yourself?

We have the Comfo Sense 67 controller mounted directly on the wall next to the ventilation system.

Hi, these filters are available cheap from common online retailers (eBay, Amazon). Probably copies, I guess. I looked into it. I prefer to buy the original. I never ordered anything like that.

I change the internal filters once a year during maintenance. I don't mind if the filters cost 20 or 50 euros. In my opinion, the manufacturer probably put some thought into their filters... Quality comes at a price. Just a feeling. I can't prove it.

The smartphone control is generically included with the PLUGGIT Avent P310. It cost nothing extra. Just connect the device to the switch – let it search – done. The app cost a little, has its quirks and is not very stable. But it's manageable.

Best regards,
Thorsten

Oh, right, you have a Pluggit. I mixed that up, sorry. Zehnder doesn’t have any app control.
