Good evening everyone,
A semi-detached house with 170 sqm (1,830 sq ft) of living space is planned to have a centralized mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery. My general contractor offered the following:
Central mechanical ventilation PLUGGIT over 3 floors (model not specified): €13,580
Enthalpy exchanger: €4,865
Standard allergy filter: €1,800 ("plugvoxx" optional €3,900)
These are gross prices including the contractor's markup. With the standard filter, that totals €20,245.
Honestly, I need to sit down for that. I had estimated around €12,000.
What do you think about this offer?
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Lückenfüller11 Dec 2018 20:48Pluggit can mean many things. BeFresh or ReFresh? Each room with its own exhaust and supply air, or designated exhaust and supply air rooms?
Our BeFresh system for 155sqm (1,670 sq ft) with clearly defined exhaust and supply air rooms cost roughly 10,000€ gross.
A completely different question: enthalpy exchanger? According to several inquiries with Pluggit, they don’t even offer that?

What is the allergy filter supposed to be for? The system probably already has filters installed anyway. If they are G4, you just replace them with F7 or even better, and that’s it.
I think 5k for an enthalpy exchanger is more than cheeky. With the Zehnder Q350, the exchanger can be replaced quite easily, so buying one yourself for an upgrade could be an option?
I find the price for the system itself reasonable.
