PäddaHello.
We are currently considering options to avoid cutting down doors (to maintain sound insulation). We are already familiar with the usual alternatives, such as frame ventilation, U-seals on the door, and so on. Now, we are interested in the "professional" solution of soundproof transfer elements (through-wall grilles) for wall installation.
Has anyone installed such elements, and do they really improve sound insulation?
Perhaps someone can also recommend a manufacturer you are satisfied with. I have found the following companies but do not personally know any of them...
·Durrer
·Kiefer
·Lindab
·LTG
·Schako
·Swegon
·Systemair
·Westaflex

I plan to achieve this using the door frame ventilation. Why don’t you want to do it that way?
For my part, I don’t want a grille next to the door just to allow air to pass from one room to another.Sound insulation is very important to us, with two children who will be living with us for several more years. From what I have read, door frame ventilation is not very efficient in terms of soundproofing. It is better than the gap under the door, but for people who prioritize sound insulation, it is not ideal.Similar topics
