I’m looking for a solution to the following problem:
The setup is a Vaillant Eco boiler (manufactured in 2017) with Multimatic control and an outdoor sensor. There is a fireplace in the living room, but unfortunately the radiators are quite far from the fireplace, so they continue heating for some time before turning off when the fireplace is burning.
My idea is to use a wireless thermostat next to the fireplace that would switch off the radiator thermostats once a certain temperature is reached. Ideally, this wireless thermostat could also act as a master, providing the room temperature to the radiator thermostats.
Do you have any suggestions for radiator thermostats that can be controlled by an additional temperature sensor?
Furthermore, various window and door sensors are installed, which I would also like to integrate. As a gateway, Xiaomi or Apple Home can be used. (Homebridge on Raspberry Pi is available).
Thank you very much!
Best regards,
Patrick (Hoppel.hof)

Hoppel.hof9 Oct 2018 11:55Thank you for the quick response. So, am I correct in understanding that it is ultimately controlled by software? For example, if the "fireplace thermostat" is above 25 degrees Celsius (77°F), then the "radiator thermostat" adjusts down? I believe they all can do that, right?
Now the only question is whether Apple’s Home app can do this?
