Hello,

For our guest bathroom, we have chosen a washbasin with a rim at the back and on the sides to prevent water from flowing directly off. It is the "Keramag Renova Nr. 1 Plan" in the size 60 x 48 cm (24 x 19 inches).

For our main bathroom, we are looking for a similar washbasin, but 90–100 cm (35–39 inches) wide with a continuous rim all around. Although the Renova Nr. 1 is also available in larger sizes, the wider versions simply have a broad rim on the sides for placing items, without increasing the size of the basin itself.

Does anyone have a wide washbasin with a rim where the outside edge is not a wide rim or a large "bulge"?

Best regards,

I think he means something different. Specifically, the edge facing the wall that is raised, so that any water standing on the basin doesn’t run off at the back. Your two suggestions are exactly the opposite.

I think the Villeroy & Boch Legato washbasin might be a good choice for you.
I have it in both 60cm (24 inches) and 80cm (31.5 inches) widths.
Both sizes are recommended. It features a nice design, a wide surrounding rim, and a basin that is proportionate to its size.

Thank you for your responses!
The back edge towards the wall should be exactly like in the example from Bau-Schmidt. Basically, no water should run directly down the outside. And of course on the sides as well.
So the very "old-fashioned" design of almost all basins from the older construction style.
