Hello,
Does anyone have experience using a shower toilet and can share their insights? Brand, complete system like the Geberit Sella, Mera, or shower toilets integrated into the toilet seat.

Since there have been over 60 posts about rimless toilets, I hope to get your support for my purchasing decision regarding shower toilets!

Well, if you use a proper shower toilet, it’s quite different, as a spray arm extends from below, cleans the mentioned areas, and ...

Okay, I can imagine that, but I still have some difficulties with a handheld shower solution like that...

But honestly: I can’t imagine proper cleaning without friction, using only a water jet instead, which isn’t as precisely targeted close to the area like an oral irrigator between the teeth [emoji848]

Consider this fact: people who use toilet paper on ceramic bowls, especially in temperate climates, are a minority worldwide.

In hotter regions, where personal hygiene is even more important, toilet paper is often virtually unknown (except in hotels/[emoji2]tourist areas, of course).

And even there, people are clean and healthy.

I find shower toilets disgusting (who knows where the spray or drips end up and then stay) and will instead have a traditional bidet installed. You can use it not only for cleaning your bottom but also for washing your feet, and for a small child, it’s at the perfect height for washing hands.

And then the child puts their fingers back in their mouth. Somehow, that doesn’t sound very hygienic either.

In a bidet, unlike the retractable spray arms of toilets which are difficult to reach, you can clean very effectively. Additionally, you wash your hands under the water jet, not inside the basin.
