Hello,
Does anyone have experience using a shower toilet and can share their insights? Brand, complete system like the Geberit Sella, Mera, or shower toilets integrated into the toilet seat.

Since there have been over 60 posts about rimless toilets, I hope to get your support for my purchasing decision regarding shower toilets!

The advantage of this model for us is that it is straightforward and requires almost no refilling. And if the shower arm ever needs to be replaced, Tece provides a video tutorial. Compared to other shower toilets, it is also relatively affordable. We will now pay around 1800 per unit including installation.

What happened to the good old wet wipes...

Unfortunately, they are difficult to dispose of properly in wastewater treatment plants....

The question now is, do we install only one in the master bathroom? Or also one in the kids’ bathroom or guest bathroom?

How have you handled this?

In our current rental apartment, there is such a unit in the master bathroom; my wife uses it daily and really likes it.

Guests never use it, as they’re not used to something like that. Kids??... they would probably end up playing with it.

They are not exactly great for the environment either...

From an environmental and hygiene perspective, I would like the children to learn how to use water for cleaning in the bathroom. I need to quickly find out whether this expectation is too much and if they would actually just misuse it. But they will grow up eventually...

A simple bidet shower, like the one mentioned here in the forum before, would probably be enough. It would be much more affordable. But I think they would indeed just mess around with it.

Steep price..

We have been using our hygiene shower for almost a year now. During construction, we had a dedicated hot water connection installed next to the toilet. I’m absolutely thrilled and love it! The faucet cost about 148 EUR (around $160). Fortunately, our grandchildren haven’t figured out how it works yet. You can also easily fill a bucket with it. Best regards, Steffi.

Bright bathroom with wall-hung toilet, window with blinds, windowsill with toilet paper roll.
