Hello everyone
We want to build a Schwörer house. On the ground floor, I would like to install recessed spotlights and built-in lights in an aluminum profile with a height of 100mm (4 inches). Does anyone know if you can decide on the ceiling cavity space yourself with the finished houses, so that my lamps (spots with fire boxes) and aluminum track (which can be installed without fire protection measures) will fit?
Thank you very much for your help
Best regards,
Stefan

Of course, you can do that. You could either increase the total ceiling height on the ground floor, which should not cost more than $5,000 to $10,000 depending on the size of the house and the existing clear ceiling height. The clear height is limited by the loading height of trucks; up to 265 cm (8 ft 8 in) should be possible. Then have the battens under the ground floor ceiling doubled up to reach your desired installation depth for the spotlights. This should not cost more than €1,000 to €2,000 either. Be careful to check the building permit / planning permission, as a structural report might be necessary.
Alternatively, you can just double up the battens, but the clear height should still be about 240 cm (7 ft 10 in) afterward.
