Hello everyone,
Can someone tell me if it makes sense to skip the solar system when heating with a district heating system? I got information from a neighbor who talked to a heating technician and an energy consultant. They said it probably doesn’t pay off. Since you would also need either a buffer tank or even a system that somehow stores both—meaning hot water from solar and district heating for the radiator system.
We could save another 4,000€ on the solar setup. I think that would cover heating costs for quite some time before it pays off.
Thanks for any information.
Best regards

They said it probably isn’t cost-effective.What do you mean by local heating network? New build or renovation? Solar thermal system for heating and/or domestic hot water?Regards
