First of all, hello and great forum here, really very helpful!
I have a question as well. I have a mid-terrace house built in 1967 and would like to renovate the roof (78 m² (840 ft²) area). I will handle the interior finishing myself with drywall and electrical work. The roof is currently bare, apart from the roof tiles there is nothing installed, so no insulation or anything like that. A company has given me an offer for re-roofing with Erlus Performa roof tiles, new battens, separation flashing to neighboring properties, chimney flashing, two roof windows about 120 cm (47 inches) in size, antenna holder, insulation, and soundproofing. This does not include interior finishing! Plus costs for scaffolding, container, etc. The total cost is quoted at €16,000 including VAT. Isn’t that too expensive? That works out to about €205 per m² (19 per ft²) for the 78 m² (840 ft²) roof area. Or what should such a project typically cost? According to the estimate, the energy value U=0.21 is achieved, or for an additional €600, U=0.18.

netmaster25 Jun 2015 10:24Thank you, I live in Neusäß near Augsburg. I haven’t obtained a second quote yet, but I probably will. On the internet, there is often mention of around €100-120 per m² (approximately $110-130 per sq ft). That’s why I’m asking. Otherwise, I will only have the roof re-covered and will do the rest entirely myself, including insulation. For such a small roof area, that amount of money is too much for me. I would have had it done for about €10,000-12,000 (approximately $11,000-13,000).
