Hello friends,
As shown in the attached pictures, the terrace paving is no longer in the best condition. Now I am supposed to regrout it and reattach the loose slabs. In my opinion, this would not solve the problem but only postpone it. The paving and the wall are damp, so I want to address this issue first. Since I don’t have much experience with building or renovating, I would appreciate your opinions and any advice you can offer.
My idea to tackle the issue is to dig about half a meter (1.5 feet) deep along the paving and fill the trench with coarse gravel. However, I still need something to separate the soil from the paving. I was thinking of using a metal sheet, but what would you recommend for this purpose?
Thank you very much in advance!
Yours, Tim
