ᐅ Recommendations for On-Site Quality Control During Construction in Cologne

as mentioned in my thread about floor plan design, we are experiencing issues with our current on-site construction expert. Who has built in the greater Cologne area and had really good experiences with their construction supervisor and would like to give a recommendation? We are building slightly west of Cologne and could also work with a suitable provider from the Aachen direction.

Does it actually make sense to hire a publicly appointed and sworn expert for building damage from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), or do you just end up paying more without gaining any real benefit?

What we need is not only a certified specialist in their field but also someone who knows how to act as a mediator and find suitable solutions with the builder when there are deviations. I don’t want someone who acts like a strict schoolmaster on-site, only sends me a report, and then leaves me alone while the builder says, “we see it differently.”

Re-inspections of repairs were at the expense of the contractor.
