Hello everyone,

I am facing the urgent decision of how many recessed downlights to install in my living room. The kitchen and hallway are already wired and coordinated (red circles).

What do you recommend?
Above the dining table, there are two pendant lights, which are controlled separately.

In the living room (blue circles and still open), I would have two dimming levels available.

I would appreciate your advice or ideas.

Thank you

In the sofa and TV area, I find indirect lighting much better than spotlights. Not too many lumens are needed either (about 50 to 100 lumens per square meter in the sofa and TV area are enough for us). Our spotlights are always off. The color temperature is important – I find 3000 kelvin comfortable for living areas and 4000 kelvin preferable for workspaces, such as the kitchen.
