Hello!

I have often read this forum and now have a question myself.

We came across an offer from the provider norgeshus-Nova, where houses from Estonia are available starting at 10,000 euros. We had considered buying an old house cheaply and renovating it ourselves, but building out a shell of a new house seems more practical.

My question is whether anyone here has built with Norges Hus before, and if so, how much it ultimately cost to complete the house to a move-in ready condition.

There must be other providers offering similar services, but I haven’t found any. Maybe someone here has built a prefabricated house with a different company and can share some information?

I visited the model home in Mannheim and asked about the price; it was quoted at 400,000 euros, turnkey.

Unfortunately, Danwood does not deliver to France; we had also considered this supplier.

So, you are building in France, and it is therefore unclear whether those from Norges can be assembled as a kit in Germany?

What should I think of this: contract manufacturing / OEM, licensing, or plagiarism?

I had visited a house from Norges before we placed the order; it was near Koblenz, so building in Germany works as well. The client, whom I spoke with personally and alone, was also satisfied.

Hello Grym, you’re back again [emoji2] How is your house coming along? You should have already started building, right?!

One of the better-known suppliers, Danwood, prominently features the Danish flag in its company logo and incorporates elements typical of Danish wooden house design. The supplier, based in Bielsk Podlaski, is part of the Budimex Group, the largest construction company in Poland. The story behind the Danish flag is explained as follows: until 1996, a Danish sales company in Germany manufactured prefabricated homes for the European market. Budimex acquired that brand name in 2002.

Well, perhaps they subcontract production. Poland to Estonia is not very far either.

However, the jurisdiction and contract terms are more important than where the components are manufactured. The machinery for this usually comes from Western Europe. And naturally, the supplier should have the necessary experience overall.
