Hello,

Does anyone have a tip for affordable pleated blinds (plissé) wider than 1.50m (5 feet), which is usually the maximum? I need 1.65m (5.4 feet) for a fixed glazing section (window strip) and, if possible, a mounting method that doesn’t require drilling. Or would you drill into the frame for installation?

Thanks!

MHZ is definitely a well-known quality brand. I’m not sure if you can really notice the difference. I’m quite okay with the small holes in the windows. As I mentioned before, we paid just under 100€ (about $110) per window. An employee also came with sample cases and parts and took all the measurements. Two installers came for the installation, and they would return for maintenance—whatever that might involve (possibly retightening, etc.). Of course, you pay for the service as well. For me, it was worth it. Otherwise, you can measure and install everything yourself and potentially save some money.

If you own your own house, you should be able to do things like that yourself

Where is that written? Maybe someone doesn’t want to do it themselves ... 🙂

For other things, I have more “drive” 🙂

Here is my version of the fixed element with adhesive shoes at the top and bottom.

Ordered online from a shop in AT, it cost just over 100€ for approximately 160cm (63 inches) wide and about 30cm (12 inches) high.

Window with roller shutter, windowsill with small cactus pots and the lettering 'hello'.

A silly question. What are these parts used for? From a visual perspective, they look quite awful. In our new housing development, they are installed exactly on the houses that have skimped on blinds. In the bathroom, I would prefer a frosted film.

What do you mean by "Jalousie"? Surely you don’t mean those rattling slatted blinds with a stick to turn them?

Are pleated blinds really a crime?

Definitely not! 🙂
