Hello everyone,

We are looking for a plant that we can sow on our stored topsoil (which has been sitting there for a year now) to prevent weeds from spreading easily. Does anyone know of a plant suitable for this purpose?

Best regards

The topsoil will definitely be properly spread out, right, or will it remain as a pile of earth for garden landscaping?

In your opinion, what exactly is the point of planting on the earth mound if it is not intended as a design feature?

For now, it will just stay there for a year, and we would prefer to have a plant growing on it that can later be incorporated into the soil (when spreading) rather than any kind of weeds that might take root.

Just look up green manure. We used plants with taproots that loosened the soil. You wouldn’t need that.

Thank you. :-) I tried so many words and descriptions, but I didn’t come up with this. :-(
