Hello everyone,
I am currently looking into expanding our planned photovoltaic system.
The standard total capacity is 3.75 kWp. I have been considering upgrading it to 5 kWp.
Now, browsing through the forum, I see many examples with 10 kWp and more.
Of course, it makes sense to cover the roof as much as possible, but the price is an important factor for us.
There are two of us living in a 120 sqm (1292 sq ft) home.
What are your experiences with achieving the best possible balance between cost and performance?

Then that was the old subsidy, which unfortunately expired months ago. Correct. That was the "old" 1000 storage subsidy from last year. 😉 Otherwise, I would have waited too.

An American car manufacturer from Grünheide has announced a dynamic electricity tariff, initially only available in combination with its storage system.
No longer a fixed rate of 7¢ / 32¢, but more cost-effective for the customer.
Maybe this is the start of dynamic electricity tariffs and refunds ranging from 1¢ to 20¢, depending on the time of day or electricity market fluctuations.
This would completely change the calculation of economic efficiency. Let’s wait and see. As long as the gentleman, let’s just call him Musk, only requires the use of a storage system from his company, that would work for me.

For this, the storage system requires not only an intelligent management system but also must be capable of AC-coupled charging.
The concept is very interesting – but don’t expect it to be available to every storage owner. Integrating the device with the tariff is technically and economically sensible – in this regard, there is nothing significant to criticize about Mr. Musk.
I think the goal is a good one.

Photovoltaic should be as large as possible for the environment!
