Hello,
we hired a landscaping contractor for our outdoor area. Among other things, he paved the driveway and the area in front of the house.
Unfortunately, the paving work did not turn out as we had expected.
I have attached a few photos.
The problem is the uneven height differences in several places.
Does anyone have experience with this? Which DIN standard can I refer to with the company?

How much have you not paid so far? Submit a written defect notice and do not pay a cent before the repairs are done. I now have an expert for such cases. They charge us for the inspection based on their hourly rate and directly inform the trades which issues are unacceptable. This works wonders. Unfortunately, as ordinary homeowners, they often try to take advantage of us.

fortuneflake24 Sep 2020 11:32We have already paid around 25,000 kg (55,000 lbs), but the progress invoice for the remaining work is still missing.
Unfortunately, reviews and recommendations are always a tricky matter.
We thought hiring a professional would ensure a good result, especially since this is a new installation. Now we have an expensive botch job.
I will try to talk to the employee tomorrow to see if anything can still be saved. Ideally, I would like to hire a different company to fix it.
Otherwise, we need an expert from the North Thuringia area. Does anyone happen to know one?
I’m not looking for a dispute, but the entire execution was poor. When we pointed out mistakes (wrong heights, clogged shaft), he immediately became defensive. The workers were also not very skilled. The boss was only on site occasionally.

Grobmutant24 Sep 2020 12:19Phew, the quality of the workmanship is really not acceptable, especially when you are paying "professionals" for it.

I will try to talk to the employee tomorrow. Hello fortuneflake,
talk to the employee. It will not help.
File a defect notice and hire an expert.
What your photos show are amateurish works. And poorly done at that.
Did you take pictures of the substructure? I fear it is not any better there.

Honestly, I can’t even make out most of the height differences in the photo.Honestly? Even as an office worker, I’m shocked by the poor quality of the work...
@TE I can only agree with most of the others here: stand up for yourself!
