Hello!
I am curious to know which tasks you carried out as self-performed work, how much money you saved in euros (€) by doing so, and how long it took you, including who helped you and their qualifications.
And most importantly: would you do it again?

No, I am a sole proprietor.

No idea, I can only say that 200,000 still went into it.Good morning
A sole proprietor does not necessarily mean "no employees"

Hello everyone,
We didn’t get very involved in the actual construction of the house ourselves, as our focus was more on managing the trades, which took up a lot of time for research and appointments. However, we couldn’t resist doing a few things ourselves:
Out of pure interest and because we know our carpenter well, we helped insulate the upper floor ceiling, including the roof structure and roofing (which took one weekend). It was fun, gave us valuable experience, and saved us about 1500 €.
Additionally, we did the preparation work for the interior plaster ourselves, such as installing the plaster mesh, applying primer on concrete parts, etc. I don’t know exactly how much we saved there — probably not much.
We also helped the specialist company set up the panoramic fireplace — saving another 1000 €. The main motivation there was really our interest in the process itself.
Finally, we did a lot of painting, installed recessed ceiling lights and lamps, and took care of all the small tasks.
One thing I never wanted to do—and didn’t—was the preparation work for the screed, like insulating the floors, etc. When I see the professional who can complete an entire floor level alone in one day compared to friends who took a week for the same area — wow. And the thoroughness with which he did it is something we personally could never achieve.
