home_clusion15 Oct 2015 22:10Hello everyone,
we are currently planning the outdoor areas including the garage. Our garage has a 19m (62 feet) long driveway running along the front of the house with a height difference of about 80cm (31.5 inches). Our architect has suggested designing the first 9m (30 feet) up to the house edge with a 6% slope, and then the next 10m (33 feet) towards the garage with a 1% slope. Does this make sense?
We would like the area in front of the house to be relatively flat but don’t want to risk puddles... What do you think? Is this setup appropriate?

home_clusion21 Oct 2015 22:01That's right... it's actually just under 60cm (24 inches)! We have now settled on a 4.5% slope for the first 9m (30 feet) and then just under 2% for the next 10m (33 feet). Hopefully, this will allow the rainwater to drain off effectively!
