Hello!

I have received a quote for a pellet boiler with a domestic hot water heat pump,
and I wanted to ask if anyone has a price comparison for such a combination.
The heating system will be connected to a underfloor heating manifold in the same room.
The costs for materials and installation seem quite high to me.

- Windhager pellet boiler BWE102SL Bio Win Exclusive – 3.0 – 9.9 kW = €8,430.00
- Windhager domestic hot water heat pump AWA270 AquaWin Air 2 kW = €2,222.00
- Materials = €5,298.00 (including wall manifold €926.00, commissioning €510.00)
- Delivery, assembly, connection to underfloor heating manifold, flat rate = €2,047.00

Thanks in advance!

Hello

With things like return flow temperature increase, thermal discharge safety device, expansion vessel, piping and accessories, etc., that should be fine.
Why do people combine a pellet boiler with a heat pump?
What heat source is used in that case?

Hello!

First of all, thank you for the information!
The domestic hot water heat pump was recommended to me both by the manufacturer and by two heating companies, and it was considered a good option.
My building project is a KfW 70 bungalow with a log-frame composite wall, 117 m2 (1,260 sq ft) for two people.
The heat pump will be powered by the heating system in winter and by electricity in summer.

Other combinations would hardly be cost-effective in relation to the investment.
If you have no experience, it is difficult to assess.

Hello again

just some thoughts on this
New build with underfloor heating > low supply temperature
Biomass boiler > high supply temperature > buffer tank
so why not just use a hygienic storage tank for domestic hot water
Additional costs well below 2222€
This could then easily be supplemented at any time with an optional solar heat exchanger.

I didn’t understand the part about winter, heating, summer, and electricity.
