We are currently planning our new build.
We have reached the stage of choosing the windows.
We can choose between standard gray PVC windows and aluminum windows (€60 per sqm (ft²)).
What are the advantages and disadvantages of aluminum shutters compared to PVC, and is the additional cost worth it?
I also have another question regarding the security of the windows and front door. The standard security is probably sufficient, and there is no need to invest in enhanced security features, right?

There are already several posts regarding security. Just try searching. The need for security is individual and subjective. Certainly, factors such as the location also play a role.
Security is always a comprehensive concept, not just individual components like doors and windows.
Most of the time, it ultimately comes down to the budget anyway.
