Hello,
I can’t imagine that the stove is venting properly, because otherwise this problem wouldn’t occur. Could it be that the chimney on the roof is not aligned optimally and sometimes lets air in when the wind blows? That’s the only thing I can think of.

Hello,
does the smoke always come out of the door or only occasionally? If it only happens sometimes, it could be that the chimney draws air from above. If the chimney is located in a place where the wind hits it directly, it can cause the smoke to be pushed downward.

Hello ursus,
This is frustrating and unacceptable!
I suspect the problem might be related to one of the following points:
Has your stove installer ever sold the same type of wood-burning stove, and does it work properly?
Do you have a controlled mechanical ventilation system in your home?
Is there a fresh air intake connected to your stove?
Do you experience the problem during winter when it’s cold?
Or to put it differently, does the issue occur every time you add more fuel, regardless of windy, cold weather or sunshine?
Do you have a stainless steel chimney flue?
Is only one stove connected to your chimney?
If I had to connect a fan to my stove, my enjoyment of it would quickly disappear.
People have been heating houses with stoves for several hundred years without fans. Why should that suddenly stop working in 2008? 😎
