Hello, I would like to make the bathroom windows frosted. There are adhesive films or spray-on options available. Has anyone had any experience with these and can give me some advice?

I’ll join the discussion here, as we are also considering how to handle the bathroom window. The neighbor’s window has a very direct view into our toilet.
Does anyone have experience with UV protection films? I have a room where my retro game collection will be kept. In the old house, I always kept the roller shutter down there. It doesn’t look very inviting, but it offers the best UV protection. In the new house, I would like to apply UV protection film to the window in that room. Does anyone know what I should pay attention to?

Does anyone know what I should consider?I’m currently in the south, where many office buildings have such film rolling up at the edges of the windows. It looks untidy. And my colleague wasn’t able to remove it from a double casement window. That’s all I can share.F

You should definitely pay attention to the correct installation. So no bumps or cracks ☺
I recently found a blog that deals with these types of membranes. It’s quite interesting and easy to understand, have a look at yoursol ☺ Hope that helps you!

I can also recommend using frosted film. I have had good experiences by 1. cutting the film roughly a bit larger, then 2. aligning it perfectly on two sides, and 3. trimming the other two sides with a utility knife along a steel ruler. A small gap at the edge is not harmful and actually looks better.

Same here. I solved this with a frosted glass film, but only applied it up to about face height (while standing). You still want to be able to see outside.

Now I’ve retrofitted an external roller shutter.
Removing films usually works better at higher temperatures or when gently heating the film with a hairdryer. A heat gun, in my opinion, is a bit too intense. The glass might crack.
