Hello everyone,

I am about to order the concrete ceiling, and a plan with the spotlights has been created. What do you think of the layout?

There are also supposed to be some in the upstairs bathroom. Do you think I should include them or skip it?

Thanks

At first, we wanted to do that, but then we read that it doesn’t help—that ceiling lights are actually counterproductive for that. Softboxes are always used in the recordings.

I might still plan a row behind the island.
Are you planning more ceiling lights because they don’t help? Please explain this logic to me.

Please explain your reasoning.

Well... ceiling chandeliers are for our personal use... for the recordings, we have to rely on softboxes.

That's how I understand it. Even more ceiling lights create a starry sky effect...

Update:

I have now received this proposal regarding the spotlights. I like it much better.

PC corner: a task light
Cooking area: lighting strip under the cabinets
Dining area: pendant light + 2 wall lights
Living area: 2 recessed spotlights + floor lamp + 2 wall lights
Guest bathroom: 2 spotlights in the shower area + mirror light

In the hallway, it stays as is for now. Would you remove the 3 lights near the utility room and instead plan a wall light there?

Reducing the number of recessed lights in favor of using other types of fixtures will enhance the comfort of the room.

Better to ask once too often than not at all.

The suggestion came from a lighting designer, it was a quick proposal.

Very kind of him, thanks to you all as well.
