Hello everyone,

we have built a new house.
On one side, there is quite a steep slope, so we decided to install L-shaped retaining wall blocks (80 cm [31.5 inches] high) along about 8 meters (26 feet) of the property boundary to fill in the 80 cm (31.5 inches) and reduce the steepness of the slope.

The neighbor, on the other hand, accepted the slope as it is and left it in its natural state.

I wanted to ask if what we did—filling in the 80 cm (31.5 inches) height—is fully allowed or legally compliant?

I think so, why shouldn’t it be allowed? A picture would be quite helpful, but I believe this falls under landscaping, and building a small wall and filling it with sand should be completely fine!

Hello,
try asking the building authority / planning department. We were told that fences up to 1 meter (3 feet) in height are allowed. However, this probably depends on the federal state / region.

That should be fine; I don’t see any violation there. With such a low height, there is nothing to worry about.
