Hello,

Our house comes with standard radiators installed.
To have it done as underfloor heating, we need to pay about €8,500 (approximately $9,500 USD) extra.
The area of the underfloor heating is about 145 sqm (1,560 sq ft).

Is this additional cost justified? After all, the radiators would be removed, which seems to already be factored into the price.

Thanks in advance!

We would have paid over 10,000 extra. Yes, with the budget general contractor. But we have now lived for a year with gas and radiators and don’t miss anything.

Our underfloor heating system—excluding the entire heating installation—cost less for 300m² (3,229 sq ft), including the basement and associated insulation, than the required additional charge.

Therefore, it is much too expensive but probably unavoidable anyway.

Yes, expensive but without an alternative. Underfloor heating is much better in terms of comfort, and radiators in a modern house are not necessarily good for maintaining property value...

Well, what can I say. Standard. No extra charge for radiators.
