I find stucco ceilings so beautiful, but I have only seen them in very old houses and apartments so far. Is it still possible to have something like this made today? Are there still plasterers who are skilled at this and willing to do it?

Wow... that’s a wealth of information! I never expected that, thank you all! The only problem is... I would need a contact for Austria... do you happen to know anything about that? If not, I’ll just ask the German contacts and maybe they have connections in Austria?!

You can also make it easier for yourself and buy these elements ready-made. You simply stick them to the ceiling or wall and then paint over them. I don’t think the difference is noticeable, especially after applying a coat of paint.

Hello Schaf! Seriously, are you sure there’s no visible difference? That would be great. I’ll check it out at a hardware store. If something like that exists, it should be available there, right?

That's right. I've seen something like that too. Yes, I think you can definitely get it at a hardware store. And I also don't believe you'll notice a big difference. The only thing is that it won't be unique. 😉

Well, even if it’s not unique, not many people have that either! Besides, you saved yourself quite a bit of money!! I also find it quite interesting that something like this is available to buy…I didn’t know that.

Hmm... well, yes, it is easier and probably cheaper... but it’s not quite as impressive as a custom-made stucco ceiling crafted by a skilled tradesperson. So if you can afford it, I think the authentic stucco option is better! 😉
