Hello everyone,
In our apartment (newly built), we had some walls painted in color.
As you can see in the photos, the walls were not painted all the way up to the ceiling. There are clearly visible uneven edges in some spots more than others.
Do I have to accept this, or is it considered a defect?
Thank you very much for your help!
Best regards,
Jegor

The transition from the stone wall to the wooden ceiling is covered like this, no cracking visible. A quick fix used by painters. Works well. Our drywall contractor also recommended this method for the transitions. However, I don’t think the term “quick fix” is appropriate here, as some issues are inevitable. This also applies to standard paint jobs like the one by the original poster.

Exactly. Styrofoam, painted with ceiling paint and glued with Sille. Just like in the old days. Tried and tested, always popular, throughout our entire house.I think it looks good! Especially when the wall has a different color, like in your case.
