ᐅ Problematic Combination of IKEA PAX Wardrobe and Striberg Light Strip

Hello everyone,

I was at IKEA on Friday and saw a wonderful Pax wardrobe (the kind with sliding doors). When you opened one side’s sliding door, the light inside the wardrobe turned on automatically. It was the same with the other sliding door.
There was also a note attached to the wardrobe explaining everything you need for this, including 2 Striberg light strips.

So I did just that: I bought the wardrobe and the necessary accessories and assembled them over the weekend. Things went pretty well.

The left Striberg light strip works perfectly. When you slide open the left wardrobe door, the light turns on automatically.

The right Striberg light strip does not work as intended. When set to “AUTO,” it simply stays on all the time (even when the door is closed).

The left Striberg strip is connected (via the transformer(?)) directly to the outlet. The two transformers are connected by an Ansluta cable.

Can anyone explain why the right Striberg strip stays on constantly and never turns off? Any tips are very welcome. I appreciate any advice.

Best regards

Hello,

according to the instructions, the light fixture is first hung in at the back and then clipped in at the front. The disassembly should then be done in the reverse order ...

…and if you are not willing, then I must use force. (applied with reason)

It’s quite simple and doesn’t require any force

Where the light strip clicks into the mounting rail, there are 3 slots.
You can insert a screwdriver there, turn it 90 degrees, and then the light strip can be easily lifted off and removed.

Attached is a picture for illustration

Thanks for the picture! With the illustration, even I can now imagine how it’s supposed to work. Great!

Hello
I registered in this forum specifically because I’m struggling with the light strip.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one having trouble removing it.
However, I originally installed the strip at the top of a Pax wardrobe with sliding doors... I just can’t reach the mounting strip properly with a screwdriver to unhook it without damage. Could someone possibly give me a tip?
There has to be a way somehow.

Thinner screwdriver? Putty knife?
