Hello everyone,

can someone tell me what an oak countertop should cost?
We have about 6 meters (20 feet) to 7 meters (23 feet) of countertop, and this comes to around EUR 3,500, which I consider to be quite expensive.

What is that supposed to be? Just the countertop? We paid 1100 euros for our oak vanity with 4 drawers.

Exactly, just a countertop.

Find a 7-meter (23 feet) long oak board in consistently good quality. That alone already makes it expensive. 3-meter (10 feet) long acceptable pieces are likely much more common and therefore relatively cheaper.

Well, it’s not a single piece but a U-shape.

Then make sure you can buy the countertop separately. As I said, worktop express is really good. They also offer custom sizes. Up to 4m (13 feet) starting at €300 (for the 4m), depending on the quality of the oak. No matter how much the installation and oiling costs are, you will still save a lot of money.
