Hello, I’m new here and have a question right away.

We are moving soon, and we want to place our TV in front of the sofa as a room divider. I would like to use the Framsta panel as the back wall, and maybe add a shelf on the side. Since the Framsta is designed for wall mounting, I would need to attach a shelf with a back panel on the rear side. Do you think that would work?

The back side should also look tidy.

The first question that comes to mind is how the shelf will be mounted to ensure it does not easily tip over under the weight of Framsta and the television.

That was exactly my question. I had the idea of placing a shelf with a back panel behind it, maybe 40cm (16 inches) deep, as a visual cover and practically as a support.

I understand that. The question is whether the shelf with Framsta could tip over, especially if there is a playful little monkey in the household. It will depend on the shelf and the weight of the TV whether this is safe. In general, it cannot be said for sure. You are on the safe side if you anchor the shelf to the ceiling.

We have one cat. The shelf should be about 1.40 m (4.6 ft) high. (3framsta units) If necessary, the TV can also be placed on a stand instead of mounted. Two basic units placed one behind the other should be stable enough, right? The ceiling height is over 2.40 m (7.9 ft). I had already thought about a support post.

3 FRAMSTA = 96 cm (38 inches).
In combination with Stolmen, this could be a good option. You would just need to create a connection from Framsta to the connector fitting. If Framsta is not fixed to the wall, you can insert a panel on both sides. Two Framsta units facing each other are then not necessary.
