Hello,
here’s a topic that isn’t directly related to construction for once...
Somehow, the decoration craze caught us just before Christmas.
How have you decorated your "home" to get into the spirit of your (first) Christmas in your own house?
Here are a few pictures of how things look at our place right now – we’re looking forward to seeing many beautiful photos of your decoration ideas.

Our illuminated column

Our "upgraded" coat rack

Our illuminated staircase

“Christmas vase” and “Christmas palm”

Our illuminated counter

Sorry, some pictures are a bit blurry – I wasn’t able to upload them in full size unfortunately.
Best regards & happy holidays,
Sandra & Dirk

Today, I received house slippers as a gift from our daughter: Walt Disney's Frozen! Funny but uncomfortable.
With protruding carrots.
I watched the movie once and thought it was quite cute. I guess this is the punishment now.

I actually expected to see more inspiring pictures, but I'll lead by example even though I don’t have much decoration yet. However, that will probably change over time! Today, I bought these cute figures on sale from the Metro.
They are still inside the apartment, but by this time next year, they will be joined by a few more figures in front of our new house.

...so, only 2 complaints left. Finally, no new mess in sight!!!
After a lot of frustration and living in a 50m² (540 sq ft) temporary apartment for almost a year, the lady of the house is now going all out (or all the way) with the decorations.
That’s why a few more photos before the holidays. The funniest thing is somehow the half Christmas tree. We can finally put a whole one outside now.
Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas!
