BauWies2423 Dec 2024 20:43Hello everyone,
We took over our house from the developer (the developer is insolvent).
At the entrance, there is still a square hole in the screed that we would like to close (see picture). The fiber optic cable was supposed to be fed through the pipe at the bottom right. However, the company that installed the fiber optic cable could no longer find the beginning section of the pipe in front of the house, so they drilled a separate hole (on the left, where the orange cable is laid).
How would you recommend filling this entire hole?
Simply fill it up to the top edge with concrete screed, level it, and then tile? Or is there anything to consider because of the polystyrene, or should the sides be sealed?
Should the orange cable for the fiber optic still be covered in some way?
Is there anything that needs to be considered with the empty conduit originally intended for the fiber optic (bottom right)? Perhaps sealing it first with expanding foam for wells, or is it enough just to fill the hole with concrete screed?
Many thanks.
