TorbenKlein3 Aug 2011 21:58Hi, I’m planning to add a nice external wall insulation to our house (or have it installed). However, I have already read on several websites that many people who did this later had problems with moisture inside the rooms. The company I wanted to hire said that this is not an issue at all. But somehow, I don’t fully trust them. Has anyone had experience with this, or am I just being too cautious?

If they are already damp, the moisture will penetrate the insulation as well, making the effort pointless. In that case, the walls must be dried out beforehand; otherwise, mold will develop. It is better to clarify this in advance than to face an unpleasant surprise later.

From the above reply, he cannot see that it costs money... for example, for a ventilation system 🙄
Kind regards
