it's me again...
We keep running into more and more questions.
We have now checked with the building authority, and there is no development plan for the neighborhood where the plot is located. We can build according to §34. They said we only need to bring the new building plan to discuss the details.
The question of the day was why, on a 1,740 m² (18,750 sq ft) plot, we are only considering a single-family house or a semi-detached house, and not two semi-detached houses or a terrace house.
Now we are wondering if it might be more cost-effective to build a terrace house with three units, for example, or two semi-detached houses. Do you think this would save any money compared to a single-family or semi-detached house?
Theoretically, we could build together with my brother and my brother-in-law. However, we need to be sure it would actually make a difference financially in the end. I currently own the entire land, so we would have to divide it, which means less privacy. That might only be worthwhile if we benefit financially ourselves. You always have to make some compromises.
