Hello everyone,
we have recently built a new house and are currently working on landscaping our garden.
We were advised to install a drip edge protection for the facade to better protect it.
On the internet, we found the idea of combining a drip edge with a pathway (see photo).
However, I am wondering how water can drain with such a solution. The frost protection layer should theoretically be made of gravel, right? Or am I mistaken?
What is the best way to handle this?
Thanks for your help

What exactly is your problem? It’s basically the same as with a standard splash guard. The panels are sloped outward.

My question is whether the water that flows into the gravel edge can seep through the compacted crushed stone. I just want to make sure that water doesn’t get trapped underneath the slabs. Sorry, I’m not an expert.

Install drainage, then cover it with inexpensive gravel, and on top of that, place the high-quality granite gravel.
