Hello,
I have a problem and haven’t found a satisfactory solution yet.
Some time ago, I connected the roof drainage to the soakaway using PVC pipes.

Now we are building the carport, and the roof drainage there should also be connected to the soakaway. To save on excavation work, I want to add a branch to the existing underground piping later on.

What is the best way to do this? Cutting out a section and clamping in a branch piece? With the risk that it might not fit perfectly.
Are there more efficient solutions for adding a branch retrospectively?

Best regards

I would do it this way. Why shouldn’t it fit 100 percent? Even if it doesn’t, it’s just rainwater.

Yes, there are even suitable pieces for that.

Not really. Maybe a rainwater barrel.

Common practice in renovations. Looks fine.

You will need a spade, the KG pipes, lubricant, and an angle grinder. Don’t forget to deburr and bevel the cut edges.

There are also KG pipes with a socket on both ends; you will need a coupling like that as well.

Have fun!

Thank you for the helpful answers! The information about the connectors was the most useful!
