spaleHello everyone,
I bought a house that is now 11 years old. The house has a bay window, and on the ceiling of the bay window is a balcony, which is tiled. Some of the tiles are damaged, and now I have a question. Can someone tell me where the concrete slab ceiling of the bay window is waterproofed? Or how a bay window is constructed? Can I simply remove the damaged tile and replace it with a new one, or is there a waterproof layer under the tile? My concern is to prevent the bay window from leaking. I hope you understand what I mean. Thank you, and I would appreciate an explanation, as I am not very familiar with this.

Ask the previous owner if they still have the plans—especially the construction drawings—for the house. That should help answer your question. 🙂
Best regards
