Bauherrlein28 Apr 2024 11:32Hello,
I have a patio door that has been wobbling near the top hinge for a few days after opening (not sure if this is the correct description) and it encounters resistance just before closing.
My guess is that after opening, this "square block" (blue in the picture, on the frame bracket) is no longer exactly positioned between the two guides (green in the picture) at the top of the patio door.
Does anyone have enough experience to give me a tip on where I might try to adjust something?
The patio door is about 2 years old and was installed during a new build. I could also involve the builder regarding warranty for defects. However, I would like to try to identify and fix the cause with your help first.
Thank you very much for your professional advice!
Best regards

If the balcony door is already difficult to operate after 2 years, it was not adjusted properly. The window installer (through the developer) should take care of this, as it is part of their responsibilities. How will the hardware components look after 6 years if nothing is done now?

Yes, that was indeed the case. I thought I would get an answer here with my post on how to adjust it myself.
In the meantime, the window fitter came and made the adjustments. So the issue is resolved for now.
Best regards

If you do, such a mechanism can last up to 50 years.
