Hello!
Since my heating system is currently being installed, I am facing a choice.
Either a buffer tank with an integrated domestic hot water tank or a buffer tank combined with a fresh water system. What would you recommend?
The details:
The house is a new build.
Heating is provided by an air-source heat pump and a hydronic masonry stove.
The buffer tank has a capacity of 1000 liters (264 gallons), and the domestic hot water tank should be 200 liters (53 gallons).
I would appreciate your experience or opinion.
Best regards

Hmm, is it possible to roughly estimate the costs for the main problem areas of a single-family house? Since I don’t belong to the "being cheap is cool" group, I don’t want to save money here, but having a rough figure would really help me plan the overall budget.

Basic details of the planned building project:

Single-family house with 120sqm (1,292 sq ft) of living space
Approximate base dimensions 9m x 10m (30 ft x 33 ft)
Slab foundation without a basement
Ground floor plus living spaces in the attic

So far, the costs have ranged from €600 to €2,300, depending on the conditions.

Thank you very much. That is a manageable scale, which I will definitely include in my planning! At least now I have an idea of the annual heating costs I can expect.

But only if the menu item: Determination of the actual demand (capacity, energy), as the basis for the realistically expected consumption, has been selected or requested.
