Viererkette10 Mar 2023 13:20Hello,
I just signed up and have a question about bathroom renovation: We want to redesign our bathroom a bit and remodel the wash area along with the shower.
Currently, we have two separate washbasins installed, which we would like to replace with a double vanity. The mounting brackets are already in place, which we will probably be able to use.
The drains are installed about 90 cm (35 inches) apart. However, when I look at vanities online, it rarely states how far apart the drain or water supply connections are.
Would installing a double vanity still be straightforward (assuming the vanity is large enough), or do you have to buy one with exact matching connections? I assume there is some flexibility with the water supply and drain connections.
Thank you!

Is your washbasin available at Reuter or similar suppliers? Then I bet you’ll also find installation drawings there! Otherwise, please specify the exact model.Thank you very much for the tip about Reuter! We haven’t chosen anything yet because we didn’t know how precise the washbasin’s fit needs to be.
How much tolerance is there for the distances, or do they have to be exact?

WilderSueden10 Mar 2023 16:33Supply lines are relatively unproblematic since you will be using flexible hoses anyway. The drainage, however, can be more critical, especially if the drains are offset, as you will need to make an additional bend and maintain the proper slope. But with the washbasin, there is usually little solid material, so it should work fine.
