Heidi19657 Jan 2021 20:08A somewhat basic question. My daughter wants to renovate an old house slightly, meaning making it livable with minimal effort at first. There is a toilet in place, but no sink in that room. A small corner sink would fit in terms of space. Would it be possible to get water for the sink from the water supply line to the toilet cistern and somehow drain the wastewater from the sink without having to break up the floor? A new toilet bowl is also going to be installed.

If the toilet drain pipe is easily accessible and the freshwater supply line as well, it might be possible to install it surface-mounted fairly easily. If you need hot water at the washbasin and there is no hot water pipe there, you could use an electric instant water heater. You would need to have electrical wiring installed as well.
However, this is a VERY rough approach—please upload some pictures of the situation.
Since you will need a tradesperson anyway, it’s best to ask them directly.

But this is a VERY makeshift idea, so please upload pictures of the situation.

What is beneath the room? A basement? There is nothing. Below the concrete, the drain pipe runs directly to the exterior wall and then to the septic tank.Similar topics
