We need to specify the floor covering thickness for the screed contractor. We are unsure how to indicate the mortar bed for the tiles or the adhesive for the parquet flooring. How is this usually specified? The materials to be installed are

Parquet 14mm (0.55 inches) plus parquet adhesive
Tiles either 8mm (0.31 inches) or 9mm (0.35 inches) plus mortar
Vinyl 4.2mm (0.17 inches) with 1.5mm (0.06 inches) impact sound insulation

Just pass it on exactly as written here; I hope the screed installer has done this before. Depending on the flooring, you might also need leveling compound, for which you need to know the screed quality—something the screed specialist knows best.

By the way, don’t you have a site manager?!

Did you actually tell the screed installer that during the house build (without mortar, adhesive, etc.), or are you just guessing now? 🙂

Yes, for the bathroom, the tiler from the general contractor automatically coordinated everything, and since we had opted out of the standard laminate, he contacted us to find out which floor coverings we wanted. The adhesive didn’t matter to him; he calculated that himself. However, we only have a change of floor covering from wood flooring to tiles on one level… otherwise, each floor is uniform.

Don’t forget to inform the door installer right away as well.

Now we’re slowly but surely figuring it out. You didn’t install the floors yourself and worked with a general contractor. I need someone who manages separate contracts and does the flooring themselves.

Then please ask your suppliers for the floor material. They should be able to provide you with the necessary information. It is also a good idea to call in the flooring specialist @KlaRa 😉

P.S. We managed the contracts individually and installed the floors ourselves. We calculated the difference for the screed installer ourselves, and it matched up to within two millimeters (0.08 inches). This was then adjusted to the door frame depth using leveling compound.
