Hello,
a new residential area is being developed in our village, and we have a good chance to choose a plot of land.
Which one would you choose?
There are fields around, and a country road on the right.
The plots that are crossed out are not an option; the others are each 550 sqm (5930 sq ft) in size.
Thank you very much

We are also leaning heavily towards option 2, but if the plot is no longer available, what do you think about option 1 or 3? Thanks in advance. For me, option 1 would be an alternative, as I prefer evening sun over morning sun.B
Bodensee1010 Apr 2022 21:28There will be no additional building area there; the field will remain.

All of these are well located. You have already eliminated the ones with poorer orientation and neighbors.
Personally, I wouldn’t want to build right next to a field. That’s where unwanted visitors tend to come at night. Deer and wild boars?
If I had the choice, I would also choose number 1. Terraces with nice south and west-facing exposure and unobstructed views are possible. By the way, I would (and have) always wanted to build next to a field.
Otherwise, number 2, because the south and west sides also have plenty of open views.

DaGoodness10 Apr 2022 21:37Definitely the second option. Also, plan the roof orientation to maximize photovoltaic yield. 😉
By the way, we also have an outdoor plot with a field behind the garden. For me, that was the most important requirement for the property. Ideally, I wouldn’t even want a fence to the field. We only have a 1m (3 ft) high wire mesh fence because of the children and now the dog. I prefer it to be very open and spacious. We’ll see. Maybe the fence will be removed again someday. 🙂
I also wouldn’t know what kind of unwelcome visitors I should be worried about?!
